WHAT'S ON
Get the details on upcoming events in the life of our church and further afield.
Sunday 11 October
We're bringing all of our congregations together in one place for one day. We're one church, meeting in different places most weeks. Every so often, it matters that we actually see that — that we stand in one room together and remember what we're here for: to see lives transformed on our campus and in our city, through Jesus Christ, for the glory of God.
10 am–3 pm
Haere-roa, 90 Ilam Rd
Faith-led budgeting
Sunday 20 September
Money reveals what we trust. This one-hour workshop looks at how to build a budget shaped by generous, gospel-centred stewardship — not fear or scarcity, but trust in God's provision.
It'll include a brief talk on the basics, then time for open Q&A. The aim isn't complicated spreadsheets — it's a simple, practical way to think about giving and spending as an act of worship.
Running twice on Sunday 20 September — straight after City and straight after Campus — so come along to whichever service you're at.
Sunday 20 September
11.45 am — Riccarton High School staff room
7.30 pm — 12A Ilam Rd (BYO dinner)
Big Ideas Night: Time 2 Talk
Monday 21 September
Brett Harvey from Tāima Kōrero — Time 2 Talk delivers engaging, honest and sensible information on how to talk about pornography with your child or teenager, and why these conversations need to happen.
Backed by the latest statistics and research, Brett’s presentations draw on his first-hand knowledge of the negative effects of pornography and provide attendees with an eye-opening insight into the multi-billion dollar industry that is targeting our children.
You will leave feeling well-informed, empowered and equipped to have these difficult yet essential conversations with your children.
Monday 21 September
7.30 pm, Riccarton High School staff room
No registration required
Note: We had initially planned a Big Ideas Night on digital discipleship more broadly. We've decided to make the most of the opportunity to have Brett equip parents with his workshop this year and will postpone our original plan to 2027.
Fields Women's Getaway
25–27 September
Come away with the Fields Church women for a weekend of refreshment in God’s Word and time together, listening to TGCW21 talks on James and living steadfastly in faith.
Annual General Meeting
Sunday 18 October
Each year, we gather as a church family for our Annual General Meeting — a legal requirement under our trust rules, and a chance to see clearly how Cornerstone has stewarded God's resources over the past year.
At this year's AGM, we'll:
Vote on our Executive Team
Confirm the Board of Reference member up for renewal
Report on the year's finances and ministry stewardship
All members are warmly encouraged to attend, as we seek to lead responsibly and faithfully with what God has entrusted to us.
