5pm Campus Church

Campus Church is a church for the University of Canterbury. The majority are students or graduates but everyone is welcome. We're a community bringing faith and university life together. It's a place to explore the teaching of Jesus so whether you're just asking questions or are a committed Christian, we'd love to meet you there.

The meeting includes challenging teaching from the Bible, singing and prayer. Afterwards we share life together over supper before many go out for dinner.

We offer a range of small groups to connect people and learn together. Our groups are also gathered under clusters that enable groups to focus on different areas:

  • — for students at UC and elsewhere. We have a particular emphasis on caring for students and connecting faith with the ideas of the university.
  • — for young workers. We have an emphasis on helping people adjust to working life and developing an understanding of Christian faith in the workplace.
  • — provides a great place for internationals at church. Each week there's a shared meal and plenty of opportunities to meet people from all around the world.

Being a student is an exciting time of exploration: new ideas, new freedoms, new friends, perhaps even a new city. Whether you're looking to deepen your faith through rich Bible teaching and fellowship, or exploring Jesus' claims for the first time, there is something for you at Campus Church.

Campus Church meets 5pm Sundays at Haere-roa — 90 Ilam Road
